Aten US221A 2-Port USB 2.0 Peripheral Switch enables two computers to share a single USB peripheral device such as a printer, scanner, or external storage on a one-at-a-time basis. It supports three convenient port selection methods: manual push-buttons on the unit, a software configuration utility, or an Auto Switch function that detects active print jobs/applications and automatically switches control to the requesting computer.

This USB 2.0 compliant device supports high-speed data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps and operates bus-powered without the need for an external power adapter. Its compact and lightweight design features LED indicators for device and port status, an audible buzzer to signal switching events, and built-in overcurrent protection.

The US221A is fully hot-pluggable and supports multifunction printers, making it ideal for busy multimedia office environments. Compatible with Windows and Mac platforms, it includes 2 USB Type-B ports for computer connections and 1 USB Type-A port for the shared peripheral.
