The Teltonika DAP142 is a rugged industrial wireless access point designed for specialized applications requiring serial integration and robust mounting solutions. Featuring Wi-Fi 4 (IEEE 802.11b/g/n) technology, it supports Access Point (AP), Client (STA), Mesh (802.11s), and Multi AP modes, delivering seamless connectivity with up to 50 concurrent Wi-Fi connections.

Key wireless capabilities include advanced security protocols such as WPA/WPA2/WPA3, enterprise EAP methods, Opportunistic Wireless Encryption (OWE), and fast roaming via 802.11r, 802.11k, and 802.11v standards. The wireless QR code generator simplifies client onboarding.

For connectivity, the DAP142 offers two 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports with auto MDI/MDIX support and one RS232 DB9 port to integrate serial devices. LAN2 supports passive PoE (Mode B, 9–30 VDC) to power compatible devices, while power can also be supplied through the included 3-pin pluggable terminal block with built-in reverse polarity and surge protection.

Powered by a Mediatek 580 MHz MIPS 24KEc CPU, equipped with 128 MB DDR2 RAM and 16 MB serial NOR flash, the device runs RutOS—an OpenWrt-based Linux OS—offering comprehensive networking, routing, and VPN options (OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard). The DAP142 supports centralized management via Teltonika RMS, firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates, and configuration through Web UI, CLI, or SSH.

Designed for industrial environments, the unit features an IP30 rated aluminum enclosure with an integrated DIN-rail bracket for easy deployment, low power consumption (<2 W max), and wide operating temperature tolerance. It supports key industrial protocols such as MODBUS (TCP/RTU), OPC UA, DNP3, and MQTT for IoT telemetry and server communication.
