The Ubiquiti WaveFiber ONU is a high-performance GPON Optical Network Unit designed for reliable and fast fiber connectivity. It features a single SC/APC ITU-T G.984 GPON WAN port and a versatile 1/2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN port, delivering robust downstream speeds up to 2.488 Gbps and upstream speeds up to 1.244 Gbps over distances reaching 20 km. Powered by a 24 V passive PoE input (20–28 V DC), the unit consumes a maximum of 5 W, optimizing energy efficiency.

Compact and lightweight with dimensions of 76.5 × 76.5 × 26.4 mm and a weight of just 78 g, the WaveFiber ONU supports flexible deployment options including desktop or wall mounting. It provides comprehensive Layer 2/3 Ethernet switching functions such as NAT, bridging, routing, firewall, and VLAN support, ensuring secure and effective network traffic management.
