The WatchGuard AP230W is a compact, wall-mount Wi-Fi 6 access point designed specifically for low-density and confined indoor environments such as co-working spaces, classrooms, conference rooms, and home offices. Featuring advanced 2x2 dual-band radios operating on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, it delivers peak wireless speeds of up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz.

Uniquely equipped with a third dedicated 1x1 dual-band radio, the AP230W continuously scans the airspace for rogue access points and wireless threats without impacting client connectivity. This critical security scanning radio runs concurrently with data radios to ensure ongoing wireless threat detection.

For wired connectivity, the device offers multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports: a PoE+ powered uplink (802.3at) and an additional Gigabit LAN port capable of PoE/PSE output (802.3af) to power another device, enabling versatile deployment options. It can be powered via PoE+ or an optional 54V DC power adapter.

Powered by a Qualcomm/Cypress IPQ6010 quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, the AP230W integrates 1 GB DDR4 RAM along with 256 MB NAND and 8 MB SPI NOR flash memory. Its small footprint (~130 x 110 x 34.2 mm) and lightweight design (~384 g) make installation discreet and simple.

This access point is intended to be managed exclusively through WatchGuard Cloud, requiring a separate Wi-Fi management license (Standard or USP Wi-Fi). The AP230W balances performance, security, and ease of management for secure and reliable wireless deployments in enterprise and business environments.
